I voted today!

...so, I deserve a break. No NaNoWriMo for me tonight-- I'm settling in with some burgers, beer, neighbors, and eight hours of uninterrupted election coverage.

I'm so curious to know how voting went around the country-- anyone have any good horror stories? I was in and out in twenty minutes this morning, but I also live in the smallest town ever, unless there's a town of midgets out there somewhere...

Ohio stickers are cool!

I woke up at 6 a.m. in the vain attempt to be one of the first at my polling place. There were about 150 people there already when I showed up at 6:15. Still, polls opened at 6:30 and I was home at 7:15, so it wasn't bad at all.

And yes, Ohio stickers are so cool, because Ohio is so cool. In fact, with 9 percent of the vote in, Obama is up 52% to 42%.

Dan and I arrived at the polls a little before 6am, when the polls were supposed to open. Unfortunately, they didn't open until 6:30 (something to do with a person in the hospital at the last minute?). We were finally done voting a little after 9. I didn't really mind, though, because people were so excited. They were talking, laughing, and literally singing and dancing in the streets, so that definitely made the time fly by. It was awesome.

You certainly made a difference, my friend! We made a whole lot of difference with our votes yesterday. In fact, we made 63,924,256 votes of difference!!! Yay!!!

I am indeed jealous of Ohio stickers.
