Somebody's watching me

Hey, anyone have any ideas as to why 210 people came to my blog on Sunday? Not that I'm a counter junkie or anything (LIE), but I do check my counter regularly, and generally, only about 15 people look at it on Sundays. There were 78 on Monday, too, but now everything seems to be back to normal. Was my blog on the news or something? Because that would have been sweet.

Sadly, though, I can't shake this sort of ominous feeling...

Mark Harmon must have linked to your blog.

Does the counter care about the same person coming back over and over? Because I get kind of bored on the weekends, and then I wonder what other people are up to. I don't think I was that bored, but I probably came to your site three or four times over the weekend.

I get bored on the weekend too... I definitely checked at least three times. I'll admit it! I have no life. You ARE my life. *cackles*

That probably didn't help at all with the ominous feeling, huh?

(In all honesty though - do you have site meter? Can you not tell from where people are linking?)

Here's the weird thing-- I checked the stats on the site meter, and it said that of everyone who came on Sunday, 190 of them had never been to the site before, and 180 of them came only one time. Yikes!

And Daisy, I tried to check who the referrers were, but by the time I noticed that it had happened, those stats had been written over by the people who came later in the week.

Although I am totally flattered that I am your life! The cackling is a bit unsettling, though...

Hey Kim:

I went to the Irishers' blog. (see above post) I'm sad to report that they're much funnier than we are.

My guess it was the reference to Lebron....

Wow, those guys ARE freakishly entertaining. But I don't know if we can officially say that they are funnier than we are. We are at least funny-looking, so we may have the edge.

Okay, I'M funny-looking. That seems more fair.

Perhaps they don't understand that instead of prancing around being funny in our funny pants, we've got a WORLD to BOMB.

I mean, if I weren't donning my flak jacket everytime the threat level went to magenta I could get a lot more funny things done.
